Mistake #5: Being a bureaucrat Acting as a bureaucrat can lead to reduced learning and spirit. Be sure to avoid bureaucracy and focus on what is important.

Mistake #6: Embracing “Flavor-of-the-Year” programming A long-term program strategy is the best way to go. Be sure not to get distracted by fads and trends.

Mistake #7: Focusing on e-learning for executive development Executives act as leaders and therefore need the most effective training accessible. Try not to rely entirely on e-learning when it comes to executive education.
