Leadership Development: Into the Workplace  |

As noted in the article, Leadership Development: Into the Workplace from September 4, 2011, until now there has been little to no research into the effectiveness of online leadership and management development. A groundbreaking research study by Towards Maturity, the U.K.’s partner to Harvard Business Publishing, reveals that on-demand is the way that busy managers and executives like to learn. The study also shows that “the classroom” is not included among managers’ top three methods of learning delivery anymore and managers prefer solutions that are delivered on-demand – such as eLearning.

Although this article is not specific to the home care industry, I have traveled the country and talked to many home care and hospice leaders in the last five years. I have found by far that leaders prefer and understand the cost and time-savings eLearning affords them and their staff. Home care staff are mobile and eLearning, which allows education and training on demand when it is convenient for patient and personal schedules, is a better choice than bringing staff to the office for classroom training.

The Corridor Group Home Care & Hospice eLearning Exchange (TCG CHEX) offers many courses including a library for leadership and management development all on demand and at your fingertips!
